I am a musician in the Denver metal scene playing guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards and am a classically trained Trombonist.
Here are all the projects that I have been a part of over my career as a musician
AXESLASHER
Guitars / Backing Vocals
Gore-obsessed Thrash for fans of 1980s slashers, VHS tapes, and sexy camp counselors.
Axeslasher were born out of an unsettling love for 80s slasher flicks, gore, the deep and dark nature of human morality, and the desire to play with a great set of boobs.
Despite being 100% DIY, Axeslasher appears on the motion picture soundtracks DEATHGASM (2015) and POOL PARTY MASSACRE (2017), ships merchandise around the world, and is an integral part of an evil global conspiracy.
Eat pizza. Worship Satan.
BLOOD INCANTATION
GUEST MUSICIAN - LUMINESCENT BRIDGE - TROMBONE
I had the esteemed pleasure to record trombone with Blood Incantation for their song ‘Luminescent Bridge’! Later that same year, we would journey to the Great Sand Dunes together and film the in person and performance footage for the music video, absolutely WILD! This led to me playing with Blood Incantation at Roadburn 2024 for the improvised encore song after their performance of “Timewave Zero”
NUCLEAR POWER TRIO
GUEST MUSICIAN - NYETFLIX AND CHILL - TROMBONE
I recorded trombone for Nuclear Power Trio’s ‘Nyetflix and Chill’ a metal samba song that feature’s a brass ensemble, we recorded at The Band Cave in Denver. There was a music video made for the song, I got to be a Secret Service Agent, very good time!
CALL OF THE VOID
I played bass and backing vocals with Call of The Void from 2011 - 2019
We released two full length records on Relapse Records, as well as an EP and a full length on Translation Loss Records.
PARTY HARD
I fell in love with Andrew W.K. after my best friend showed me the music video for ‘She Is Beautiful’ in the summer of 2010. I decided that night I would form a tribute group to play his music from the record ‘I Get Wet’ with 3 defining rules:
We only play parties
We wear all white
We are super ridiculously stoked about everything]
We have a line up of 8 guys (2 vocals, 3 guitars, bass, keyboards, drums and the computer) Justin Forrest (Caspian, SOM, memorydrip) Steven Jackson (Axeslasher, Ghosts of Glaciers, Iluminado) Bill Collins (Skank Williams, Iluminado) Scott Risch (Potato Pirates) (Ben Pitts) Nightwraith, To Be Eaten) Ben Hoops (Edge Breaker, Bastardsword) and Byron Vall, all who I consider close friends since before we started the group. We don’t play often but it’s so fun and we seem to get better as time passes!
ILUMINADO
GUITARS - KEYBOARDS - TROMBONE
I joined Iluminado in 2011 and played with them until 2015. Brainchild of Garrett Botkins (Iluminado, Sea of Teeth, Garrett Botkins) this music is beautiful, complex and catchy! 3 guitars (Steven Jackson, Garrett Botkins, Alex Pace) all playing melody and counter part with drums (Ben Brandhorst) and bass (Bill Collins) creating a sound that I had to be a part of. I recorded one record with them, playing live was a fun sight as I had a lot of equipment setup and switched instruments constantly. Flesh of Sun’s is an amazing record top to bottom
This was one of the first music videos I made!
I shot and edited it
TEETH OUT
VOCALS
Teeth Out is the brain child of Nathan Siegrist (Call of the Void) this project is insane in it’s chaos and beauty. I was the vocalist of Teeth Out for our ep ‘Tent’. Lyrics were written between Nathan, Andrew and I. We played two shows and then broke up. The EP is fantastic.
CIRCLE OF DEFEAT
This was my grindcore project from 2009 - 2013, I played guitar, vocals and wrote a majority of the music. Rich Wilhelm played drums for the band after the first ep. The last recording we did ‘Formula For Failure’ was the band at it’s best. Grindcore/power violence in the style of Insect Warfare and Assuck, Pig Destroyer, as many notes played as fast as possible, leading to a sweet headbanging riff. We played a lot of shows in Denver and surrounding areas but played our last in July of 2013.
DIARRHEA TILL YOU DIE
This was my first real band! DIY as hell, playing every show that we could get on and in front of whoever would hear us. We liked to have fun, play very fast, short songs that we’re unpredictable. Anthony Fiedler (drums/song writing) Jesse Kemp (bass/song writing) and Jesse Dawson (vocals/lyrics). We got to do several tours, play with some cool bands and make life long friends.
The video is from our final show in 2010 at the Blast-O-Mat where we played maybe 100 times
